Visions of Hell

VISIONS OF HELL

There are many accounts of near death experiences (NDEs) and out-of-body experiences in YouTube that are consistent with Roman Catholic teaching about the afterlife, Hell in particular. Horrific, lurid, they concur with the private revelations of the saints.

Told with with heartfelt sincerity, they are gripping but unverifiable stories, so that the truth to which they claim to attest is at best indicative.

Some of the most instructive and memorable visions include the following:

—Bill Wiese, “23 Minutes in Hell (8 Minutes) - Bill Wiese, The Man Who Went To Hell,” YouTube video, 7:59 minutes, March 8, 2018

This vision confirms the private revelations of the saints concerning the following details about Hell:

- The damned burn in fire.
- The damned are confined in enclosed spaces.
- The powerful malodorous smell
- The odious animals and insects
- The darkness
- The bestial appearance of the demons
- The demons are given the liberty to torture souls.
- The unending blasphemy and hatred of God
- The utter aloneness
- Hell is not empty.
- The eternal despair (which is the main point of the speaker)

Notable points in this vision include:

- The soul has the shape of the body.
- The soul is the object of physical tortures like the body, but unlike the body, the soul remains intact and alive.

—Living For Christ, “MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL LITERALLY GRABBED THIS MAN OUT OF HELL AFTER DEFEATING A 13 FOOT TALL DEMON,” YouTube video, 20:41 minutes, July 3, 2016

Notable points in this vision include:

- The soul has the shape of the body.
- The bestial appearance of the demons (like from a comic strip but only too real)
- The lake of fire (Revelation 20:10)
- Communication between the spirits is telepathic.
- The risk of eternal damnation for the lukewarm Christian

—The Final Stand With Pastor John, “I went to hell a warning you must hear, incredible testimony,” YouTube video, 9:19 minutes, November 26, 2016

Notable points in this vision include:

- The damned are confined in enclosed spaces.
- The odious animals and insects
- The darkness
- The utter aloneness
- Hell is not empty.
- The impossibility of reprieve

—Richard Ellis, “Once Saved Always Saved? I went to the Outer Darkness (Hell) for unfaithful christians!” YouTube video, 9:01 minutes, February 13, 2018

Notable points in this vision include:

- The outer darkness (Matthew 8:12; 22:13; 25:30)
- The eternal condemnation of the lukewarm Christian
- The utter aloneness
- The interminable quality of eternity
- The ineradicable despair

—FOX 8 News Cleveland, “Man Says He Went to Hell and Back,” YouTube video, 5:57 minutes, May 14, 2014

Notable points in this vision include:

- The interminable quality of eternity
- The demons are given the liberty to torture the damned.
- The transformation of the will into eternal hatred of God
- The saving power of the name of Jesus

It’s good to dwell on the horrors of Hell and as a consequence to pray often for our salvation and those of others.

  2. The fate of the damned is unspeakable.

If you knew what Hell is, you would willingly suffer the worst torments on earth to save yourself from eternal death.

  5. When I first encountered Christians who denied the existence of hell and its revealed attributes, I was very surprised because it is a truth I have grown up with and have taken it for granted for most of my life. I was also horrified—horrified to see anyone turn a blind eye toward the possibility of their eternal damnation. Now I am no longer surprised. However, I am still horrified.

  6. THE REMNANT?

—Touching The Afterlife, “Engineer Dies & Fights Off Demons from Hell & Jesus Asks Him the Ultimate Question – Karl’s Testimony,” YouTube video, 1:26:41 minutes, December 31, 2023

What caught my attention is really just one detail (see 1:00:12): 2.5% +- 0.1% go to heaven, and the remainder goes to hell.

    I wonder.

Scripture doesn’t give us a number.

Revelation 12:4 indicates that one-third of the angels fell from heaven—that is, 2/3 of the angels were granted the beatific vision in heaven.

Now he’s saying, less than 3% of humanity goes to heaven?

The Roman Catholic religion doesn’t tell us what proportion of humanity will be damned or what corresponding percentage will be saved.

    I’m speechless.
